Hey there! Emma speaking! So as some of you may know, I am Jewish and I recently had a Bat Mitzvah. Along with the extensive amount of preparation for the Bat Mitzvah itself, everyone at my temple who goes through the Bar/Bat Mitzvah process is asked to choose a mitzvah project that interests them and gives back to the community. I decided to create this event! I have had the pleasure of going to some of the Danceability dance recitals and every year, there is at least one number that chokes me up. As my dad would say it, the kids have an “aha moment”. When the kids are on stage and they look out into the audience and realize that they can do this. That these people are here for them! I also love dance. I put those two things together and created ADFAC.
